Projects
These are some projects that I have worked on within the last year.
My Career Plan // This was created for a class that was an introduction to my major.
It is a Tumblr page dedicated to the tactics and strategies I will take
to achieve my dream career and overall happiness. This plan
discusses the path I would take to achieve a career in communications
within the movie industry. Since this was created, I have chosen a
a different path, one in communications within philanthropy. But the same tactics
and strategies apply.
And She Was : // This was a blog I created in my own time in July, 2014. It was at this point
I knew I wanted to write, so I created an outlet. Even though I have only had
the blog for a short period of time, I have learned a lot about the field. Such as the
basics of setting up a blog and its layout, adding GIF files to a post, content worth
posting, and other basic blogging knowledge. I still have many things to learn though.
Right now, being a student, I have limited my time to And She Was, and hope to give it more
attention and potentially make it a pert-time job in the future!
Beatles Confession // This was an experiment. In June 15, 2014, I started a Twitter account
named Beatles Confessions. I have a friend who runs well-known Twitter accounts,
@TheRunnerProbs and @GhetoSpongebob to name a few, and he helped me launch a Twitter account. With his help by retweeting, I gained 120 followers in one night. I only tweeted for three days, ending on June 18th, and have since then lost near 100 followers. This was a really awesome experience! The most valuable lesson I took away from this is the importance of networking. I hope to have more experiences like this in the future, but to continue with it and see where it takes me.
